CDs in maxi single jewel case with j-card paper insert:

The maxi single case is ideal for a single or EP release. The cases have a 7mm spine, half that of a standard jewel case and the cases are usually clear plastic.

The printed paper insert is known as a J card, once the booklet is folded, it resembles the letter J. The J card has a wide spine that allows plenty of information. The maxi single can house both CDs and DVDs, and the case unlike a standard jewel case has no removeable tray.
